Mildred Hubble spells trouble.
Mildred Hubble is a young witch attending Cackles Academy. She's called the "Worst Witch" because she's always caught getting into trouble.

1. The Battle of the Broomsticks

The young witch in training, Mildred Hubble, has a less than desirable start of her first year at Miss Cackle's Academy as she makes quick enemies with the prissy Ethel Hallow & the tyrannical Miss Hardbroom for arriving late on her first day! To make matters worse, Mildred quickly finds herself in deep trouble & is on the verge of being expelled!
2. When We Feast at the Midnight Hour
Air Date: 1998-10-29
The girls are told the legend of Sir Walter who died in a rainstorm centuries ago outside the castle. Whenever there is a storm Sir Walter is said to walk the corridors, looking for revenge! Now Mildred & the girls are out to see if the legend is true! Meanwhile the girls decide the quality of the food they're being served is poor & demand a change!
3. A Pig in a Poke
Air Date: 1998-11-05
It's time for the presentation of the kittens which will sit decoratively on the end of each girl's broomstick when they fly! When Mildred's Tabby can't even cling on to her broomstick, Ethel lays into Mildred about how hopeless she is, Mildred has been pushed too far, & turns Ethel into a piglet! She escapes, & the race is on to catch it & turn her back, before Miss Hardbroom finds out!
4. A Mean Hallowe'en
Air Date: 1998-11-12
When Mildred's attempts to revise her potion test notes fail, Mildred & Maud produce an invisibility potion by mistake, getting the duo into trouble! Mildred is determined lie low in an effort to stay out of trouble, but the Hallowe'en festival looms, & Mildred's class has been chosen to put on a flying display! A very cross Ethel decides to sabotage Mildred's broom!
5. Double, Double, Toil and Trouble
Air Date: 1998-11-19
Stopping to rest in the valley below Mildred comes upon a group of witches & hears them planning to take over Cackle's Academy! Mildred, thinking on her feet, turns all the evil witches into snails. Back at school, while Miss Hardbroom does not believe Mildred, Miss Cackle recognizes the description of the Chief Conspirator as her wicked & jealous twin sister, AGATHA.
6. Monkey Business
Air Date: 1998-11-26
Thinking that some extra responsibility might do Mildred good, Miss Cackle asks her to look after the new first year, Enid Nightshade. Soon Maud feels Mildred hasn't got time for her any more & goes off in a huff. To make matters worse, Enid sneaked her pet monkey into the school & he's on the loose! Now Miss Hardbroom thinks the roving monkey is Ethel & that Mildred is obviously responsible!
7. Miss Cackle's Birthday Surprise
Air Date: 1998-12-03
Miss Cackle's birthday is a day of legendary boredom! Enid, determined not to sit through the boredom, drags a reluctant Mildred into a store cupboard. Ethel notices & locks the door on them! Inside the locked cupboard Mildred is in despair - this is the last straw, she's bound to be expelled! With the help of a badly damaged broom, they may be able to escape!
8. The Great Outdoors
Air Date: 1998-12-10
A trip organized by Miss Drill is to be a strictly "no magic" camping trip. Things get even worse when the group encounters a Scout troop of mortal boys (Including Jay Baruchel) also camping in the woods. The two groups merge to compete together in team building activities. Soon though the "no magic" rule goes out the window, as Ethel is determined to win.
9. The Heat is On
Air Date: 1998-12-17
A summer heatwave has hit Cackle's & the girls are succumbing to the heat. Miss Cackle produces a magical soda, that is so refreshing it's all the girls can think about. Soon wanting more, Miss Cackle decides to have a contest to see who can make the best non magical soda. However Ethel decides performing a little bit of magic is worth beating Mildred.
10. Sorcery and Chips
Air Date: 1999-01-07
After Mildred causes an accident in potions, the school requests funding for newer equipment. The School's administrator, who happens to be Ethel's father, thinks this is the perfect time to bring Cackle's into the modern age! After residual effects from Mildred's mistake mixes with the new technology causes an even bigger problem! Now they see modern technology is not all it's cracked up to be.
11. Let Them Eat Cake
Air Date: 1999-01-14
Mildred & her friends plan on sneaking out of boundaries & go to a nearby sweets shop! Meanwhile a greedy businessman & his kind hearted, but weak willed assistant plan on converting the surrounding woods, the shop & even Cackle's into a pollution spewing factory! Now with a little help from an also rule breaking Miss Cackle, the girls form a plan to save the day!
12. Sweet Talking Guys
Air Date: 1999-01-21
Chief Wizard, Egbert Hellibore & his three apprentice Wizards pay a visit to Cackle's Academy. The girls soon see how mischievous & underhanded the boys are & a prank war begins, with Mildred being blamed for it! Soon there will be a debate between the boys and the girls & Mildred finds the boys are using magical trickery to cheat! Now she plans on turning the tables on them!
13. A Bolt from the Blue
Air Date: 1999-01-28
It is nearly the end of Mildred's first year at Cackle's Academy & everyone is happy, except for Miss Cackle! She's short with all the students, particularly Mildred whom she threatens to expel. The girls soon learn that, it is in reality Agatha, Miss Cackle's evil twin, returned to take over the school! Now they must prove it to the other teachers & save the day!
1. Old Hats and New Brooms
Air Date: 1999-11-04
Mildred arrives for her second year at Cackle's in a positive mood. There's a new intake of young would-be witches one of whom, Sybil Hallow, is afraid of everyone including Mildred! In an attempt to be kind to Sybil, Mildred only seems to make matters worse. Meanwhile, an argument is going on in the staff room between Miss Bat and Miss Drill about who is to be the second year class mistress!
2. Alarms and Diversions
Air Date: 1999-11-11
The girls are learning finger sparks to enhance the effect of Spells with Miss Hardbroom. Ethel delicately zaps away one pine cone, while Mildred puts a hole in the cupboard door. Not all the Hallows are at the top of the class though, as Sybil fails her broomstick flying test. Mildred tries to make her feel more comfortable, but for some reason, she always seems to say the wrong thing.
3. It's a Frog's Life
Air Date: 1999-11-18
Ethel thinks it's Mildred's fault that Sybil is always following her around, so when things go too far during a lesson of broomstick flying, Ethel vows to get her back, by turning her into a frog! With the help of a wizard who has also been turned into a frog, Mildred just might turn back & figure out who did this to her!
4. Crumpets for Tea
Air Date: 1999-11-25
Chief Wizard Hellibore is to give a master class in magic to the girls of Cackle's Academy. This is an ideal opportunity for Mildred to enlist his help to change her newfound frog friend back to his old self. Unfortunately, Mildred has been banished to her room and, as punishment, forbidden to attend the master class!
5. The Inspector Calls
Air Date: 1999-12-02
Panic spreads amongst the teachers when they're paid a visit from the Witch School Inspector. The particular individual appointed to inspect Cackle's Academy is none other than Mistress Broomhead, Miss Hardbroom's tyrannical personal tutor from witch training college. An emergency plan of action is drawn up and, in order to prevent any unforeseen disasters, Mildred is banished to her room.
6. Animal Magic
Air Date: 1999-12-09
There's a blizzard raging outside & the girls are desperately trying to stay warm. Amidst all the chaos, who should arrive seeking shelter from the weather, but Chief Wizard Hellibore, who is in a particularly mischievous mood & pronounces the day to be an upside-down day. Everything is turned on its head; teachers and pupils change places and there are games instead of lessons!
7. Carried Away
Air Date: 1999-12-16
Mildred & her friends set off to visit Algernon at his riverside retreat. Mildred has been told to leave her cat behind, but when no one is looking she manages to sneak him in, hiding him on a boat. Meanwhile, Ethel and Drusilla discover the boat with Tabby & they untie the boat sending it down the river towards the rapids, completely unaware that Miss Hardbroom is also on board!
8. The Dragon's Hoard
Air Date: 1999-12-23
Ethel & Drusilla's prank casting a boat adrift with Mildred's cat aboard takes a dangerous turn when the cat & an unconscious, Miss Hardbroom head towards the rapids! Meanwhile, Merlin has accidentally frees a Dragon Lord from his captivity who threatens to imprison the town forever unless he gets his lost treasure back! Now its up to Mildred to save the day!
9. The Genius of the Lamp
Air Date: 2000-01-06
The first years are left with Miss Bat and Miss Drill while the rest of the school is away on a trip. The two teachers see this as an opportunity to put all their favorite educational ideas into practice. As a result, there's a lot of P.E. and chanting for the girls. In the staff room, Miss Drill and Miss Bat are competing for Miss Cackle's vacant chair and the authority it confirms.
10. Up in the Air
Air Date: 2000-01-13
Frank's nephew Charlie has arrived for a visit to Cackles. He's fed up with his own school and jealous of the fun the girls seem to have at the Academy, so he persuades his uncle to ask if he can become a pupil at the Academy. Miss Drill seems sympathetic to the request but Miss Hardbroom is dead set against it. Leaving Miss Cackle wondering if it might not be time for the Academy to go coed.
11. Fair Is Foul and Fouls Are Fair
Air Date: 2000-01-20
The girls are restless, & they can't wait for the term to end. Miss Drill introduces the girls to basketball and arranges a friendly match with the Hevversham Hevvies! The Hevvies are ruthless & walk all over the girls. Mildred is hopeless and has a tendency to freeze when it's time to shoot at the basket! The entire school is watching, which doesn't make it any easier for her!
12. Green Fingers and Thumbs
Air Date: 2000-01-27
Mildred's potion exam, & gardening competition are both happening at the same time! Her chances of passing look slim, as Ethel and Drusilla conspire to get her thrown out of Cackle's. When Mr. Blossom's greenhouse is trashed, Miss Hardbroom suspects Mildred, & forbids her from participating further.
13. The Millennium Bug
Air Date: 2000-02-03
The girls are very excited because it's the thousandth birthday of the Castle! Miss Bat is preparing a performance of the Spell girls with Fenella, Griselda, Sybil and Clarice. While Mildred is elbowed out of her drama slot by Ethel! Meanwhile the girls are shocked to find that Ethel's father & the Chair of the School, is planning to sell the Castle!
1. Secret Society
Air Date: 2000-11-09
Mildred and her friends try to join Ethel's Cauldron Club, but Mildred fails the initiation test after interference from Ethel. Luckily for Mildred, Fenella & Griselda, come to the rescue and create the Dangerous Old Books Society! Soon the stuffy old club begins to lose its luster & it's members! Meanwhile Miss Drill contemplates quitting after growing tired of Miss Hardbroom's harassment.
2. An Unforgettable Experience
Air Date: 2000-11-16
Mildred, Maud, Ethel & Drusilla are sent on work experience to Mrs Cosie's Cafe & learn all there is about running a restaurant. That is until Ethel changes the Cafe to be the way she likes it. Ethel claims its just for fun, but when a group of tourists & Grand Wizard Hellibore all arrive at the same time the girls must find a way to get out of the mess!
3. Which Witch is Which
Air Date: 2010-11-23
Ruby's study of the theory of relativity results in several of the girls hoping to unlock the secrets of the past, by traveling back in time! Due to Ethel's tampering, their little experiment goes haywire and brings two ancient waring witches into the 21st century! Now the very fate of the castle relies on, Mildred!
4. The Witchy Hour
Air Date: 2000-11-30
Cackle's Academy takes part in a quiz show against girls from the dreaded Pentangle's School. Mildred is angry to find that Miss Cackle allows Ethel to be on the team, but not her! Additionally Miss Hardbroom refuses to have anything to do with it, but in the soon changes her mind, as the reputation of the school & personal pride against the snooty Pentangle students is on the line!
5. Learning the Hard Way
Air Date: 2000-12-07
Miss Cackle's young niece, Gabrielle Gribble, comes to the Academy for teaching practice. Suffering from a bit of stage fright, Gabrielle takes Miss. Hardbroom's advice of being tough a little to0 seriously & she becomes a tyrant who throws the entire class in detention within minutes of her first day. Soon Mildred & her friends end up teaching her far more than she ever learned in College.
6. The Hair Witch Project
Air Date: 2000-12-14
It's time for the dreaded Third Year Witch Project where nerves are frayed & unlikely partnerships forged! The girl's projects range from the typical of a retrieval spell, to the unique of a mini broom to the downright odd of chewing gum that never loses its flavor! The final demonstration in the Great Hall nearly ends in disaster, but all the girls work together to make the day memorable.
7. Just Like Clockwork
Air Date: 2000-12-21
Miss Hecketty Broomhead returns to Cackle's Academy to take over while Miss Cackle goes to look after her sick aunt. She takes an instant dislike to Mildred & even forces her to wear a tracking bracelet at all times! Meanwhile her insistence on rigid time-keeping proves to be quite the problem, especially when she is considered to be a permanent replacement for Miss Cackle!
8. Art Wars
Air Date: 2001-01-19
Mildred discovers that there is something which she is not worst at - drawing. Ethel, however, who can't bear the thought of anybody being better than her at anything, is determined to thwart Mildred. Part of Ethel's scheme involves her "client' Drusilla winning a prestigous art contest judged by the new art teacher at Cackle's.
9. Power Drill
Air Date: 2001-01-22
Mildred & the other girls notice Miss Drill is down in the dumps. They decide to give her a potion which will allow the non-magical Miss Drill to temporarily gain magical powers! Now the other teachers are trying to help Miss Drill hone her powers, while the suspicious Ethel & Drusilla try to prove that Mildred & her friends are behind it all!
10. Better Dead Than Co-Ed
Air Date: 2001-01-23
The girls of Cackle's Academy make a good will trip to the all boy's Camelot College. Unfortunately the boys they're visiting are not exactly rolling out the red carpet for Mildred & the others! Even worse is there is rumor of a merger between the two schools, but Mildred and her friends devise a plan which is guaranteed to make Miss Cackle change her mind.
11. The Lost Chord
Air Date: 2001-01-24
Love is in the air, or at least Miss Crotchet thinks it is. The visiting Professor Von Raffenberg seems to be smitten with her, but it turns out he is a conman, who is looking for the Lost Chord, which will grant the owner perfect luck! Some of the girls can see right through him, while others are conned into helping him.
12. Unfairground
Air Date: 2001-01-25
As their third year grows to a close the girls sneak out to attend a local Fair. When Miss Cackle discovers them, she hears Mildred mocking her, the usually kind Miss Cackle punishes the whole school! Feeling this is unfair Mildred & Jadu decide to create a newspaper that mocks the teachers & has a list of their demands for how the school should be ran! Once discovered the two face expulsion!
13. The Uninvited
Air Date: 2001-01-26
Mildred & Jadu's expulsions are on the horizon & the other girls try to find a way to save them. The girls plan on running Maude for Head girl hoping to use their influence to save the two. When that plan falls through they decide steal Ms. Cackle's spell book & they end up creating a danger far greater than they've ever faced! Now it's up to Mildred to save the day!
