The newly formed Tigers and Sharks have barely enough time to adjust to their new surroundings before the first two new arrivals of Shipwrecked 2009 descend on the island. City boy Andrew and student Maz must spend an equal amount of time on both islands before deciding which tribe to join. It's Tiger Island first, where ex-Shark Hollie is feeling left out and quits the group in tears. And that's not the only rift on the island, as the newcomers are quick to notice; there's a boy-girl split developing, which they think can be fixed with their island law - and a dash of speed dating. Across the lagoon with the Sharks, all attentions are on building the camp. Or rather, they are until Rose and Mackenzie start competing over who works the hardest, leading to a bust-up. And if this isn't enough conflict, ex-Tiger Nadejah is making her presence felt, as usual.

3. Week 3

Air Date: 2009-02-15

Looks as though this week's theme is sabotage, with incidents on both islands. The new arrivals - 22-year-old self-confessed ladies' man Tom, and 18-year-old vegetarian and political activist Silkie - spend the first half of the week on Tiger Island. Here, they are are taken aback by the basic camp facilities, while the rest of the Tigers worry that Silkie's views on animal cruelty could jeopardise their plans for a chicken dinner. Just as Tom and Silkie are about to implement their island laws, the Tigers discover that the Sharks stole some of their nails at the last beach party.

4. Week 4

Air Date: 2009-02-22

After last week's shenanigans with 'Nailgate', the Sharks, minus the exiled Xanthi, are the first to welcome new arrivals Greg and Franki. Both new arrivals quickly settle on the Shark Island and get to work with the arrangements for Soodi's birthday party. But Greg and Franki soon notice the cracks: Nadejah doesn't seem to be pulling her weight. Meanwhile, over on Tiger Island, the tribe are quickly realising that having the exiled Xanthi on board is more of a punishment for them than it is for her... Having bonded with Maz, Greg is feeling himself drawn to the Sharks. But will the bond still hold after he enjoys some one-on-one hammock time with Tiger Hermione?

5. Week 5

This week the new arrivals go to separate islands. Evangelical Christian Doug and gay, media salesman Dan become leaders on Shark Island and Tiger Island respectively. As the Sharks question Doug about the significance of his silver ring, it becomes clear that Nadejah is no longer the only virgin on the island. And the Sharks don't think she is pulling her weight - can Doug help with his island law, getting the Sharks to build a sacred circle? Meanwhile, on Tiger Island, new arrival Dan is keen to kill a chicken, which upsets Silkie, but the islanders have to kill and eat a chicken to get vital protein into their diets. When the time comes for Dan and Doug to switch islands, Sharks Mark and Mackenzie speculate about a romance between Dan and Xanthi. Dan confesses to a little bit of a crush, but Xanthi insists Dan is not his type. At the beach party, the new arrivals must reach a joint decision about which tribe to live with, but can they see eye to eye?

Over on Shark Island, ex-Tiger Greg is visibly shaken when he hears about Hermione. As the beach party approaches, the Tigers decide to up their game by building their very own bar - the Tiger Tavern. Will the Tavern be enough to lure Markus and Lois over to the Tigers? And will either tribe be ready for a shock announcement at the beach party?

7. Week 7

Air Date: 2009-03-15

This week's new arrivals - engineering graduate Jack and promotions girl Della - are immediately impressed by the Tiger camp. But Soodi's decision to move to Tiger Island has upset Hermione and Hollie, who worry that she'll try to control the group. On Shark Island, tempers flare when Dan isn't happy with how the weekly rations are dished out and Xanthi voices his opinion about the fire, and the arguments continue when Jack and Della arrive. Jack and Della think the 'line of truth' game, which asks the camp to say what they really think of each other, can help, but it pushes the tribe further apart. The Sharks make a desperate attempt to impress Della and Jack with a 'shake it like a Shark' dancing competition.

8. Week 8

Air Date: 2009-03-22

New arrivals this week are country bumpkin Kevin and the strong-willed Beneditta. However, the tribe are not enamoured of Beneditta's bossiness. Her popularity plummets even further when she has an argument with Xanthi. As Kevin and Beneditta prepare to head off and join the Tigers, Kevin drops a bombshell by refusing to leave Shark Island because he feels he has bonded so well with the Sharks. When only one new arrival turns up on Tiger Island, Sonny, Jack and Hollie decide to go and get Kevin. Touched by their efforts, Kevin agrees to give it a go. As the beach party approaches, the Sharks have a heart-to-heart, which quickly descends into name calling. With equal numbers on Sharks and Tigers, winning this week's new arrivals is vital for both tribes. So, who will Kevin and Beneditta choose?

There is only one new arrival in paradise this week: 22-year-old bar manager Danny from Liverpool. The Tigers warm to him instantly, and Danny is impressed by the Tiger girls. Meanwhile, after last week's beach party, Tiger Sonny has developed a soft spot for Shark bombshell Rosie, so he and Markus decide to kidnap her. But when Sonny and Markus surprise their fellow Tigers with stolen Rosie, the team worry that they will be punished, and the girls think that Rosie's arrival could divert the tribe's attention away from Danny. Love is in the air on Shark Island too. Maz and Greg are getting closer by the day, and there seems to be some serious flirting between Dan and Xanthi. The Sharks are so wrapped up in their courtships, they don't even realise that Rosie has been snatched.

10. Week 10

Air Date: 2009-04-05

This week the Sharks must get over the massive blow of losing Greg as they try to win over the latest new arrival: 20-year-old charity worker and self-confessed hippy Adam. The new boy is impressed by how close the Sharks are, and decides they'll get even closer if they all get naked together... Over on Tiger Island, as Greg looks over the water at the Sharks' party, he is upset that he is not among his tribe and decides to swim across to see the Sharks. When Adam switches islands, the Tigers treat him to a laid-back dinner on sunset rocks. Later on, the new arrival decrees a day of anarchy. While half of the camp heads to the beach, Tom and Sonny decide to hide all of the island's rations and pretend to have eaten the lot. The two pranksters come clean before a huge argument erupts, and - more importantly - Adam is most impressed.

11. Week 11

Air Date: 2009-04-19

After losing to the Sharks for a second week running, the demoralised Tigers put on a brave face for new arrival Stacey. However, the basic island living is hard for her to come to terms with, so the Tigers make sure their 'princess' Stacey is well looked after during her stay, pulling out all the stops by making her a luxury bed. Meanwhile, over on Shark Island, Mark, Nadejah and Rosie are wary of Hollie's motives - unlike Adam, who has struck a close friendship with Hollie. This relationship makes Hollie rethink her decision to automatically move back to Tigers at the end of the week. When Stacey arrives on Shark Island, she doesn't feel the tribe make much of an effort to ensure she feels comfortable, and after only one night she makes a dramatic decision: to swim over to Tigers and declare her allegiance.

13. Week 13

Air Date: 2009-04-26

With the end of the competition in sight, the Sharks waste no time in trying to impress new arrival Matt, showing off their culinary skills and competitive nature. Matt is particularly taken with Shark girl Rosie. Xanthi and Dan's relationship is a hot topic on Shark Island, and Maz and Lois decide to play cupid by creating 'Lover's Corner'. Meanwhile, on Tiger Island, Hollie has now pledged her allegiance to the Tigers, but they're still not sure if they can trust her. When Matt arrives, Della makes sure the Tiger girls do all they can to secure the new arrival - even if it means obeying Matt's cheeky island law: the girls must act as serving wenches to the boys. After bonding so well with both tribes, Matt realises how difficult his decision at the beach party will be.

14. Week 14

Air Date: 2009-05-03

It's the penultimate week of the contest, and with the Tigers in the lead the importance of winning over new arrival Geri is dawning on the Sharks. They are quick to try and show the 21-year-old dancer from Hertford how much fun the Shark tribe can be. Liam however is missing his Tiger tribe, and spends most of his time on the beach gazing over to their island. Unsure if Liam will try to influence new arrival Gerri, the Shark boys decide to launch a surveillance tactic 'Twatching', or Tiger watching.
