Adrift and desperately needing money to pay for his ailing adoptive father's care, Ubaldo, a bank clerk who's unable to remember his childhood, receives an inheritance that will change his destiny for good. He goes to Cratará, in the heart of the northwest desert, where he'll become the leader of a pack of ruthless bandits, fulfilling the legacy of his biological father - a mythical cangaceiro.

1. The Weight of the Inheritance

Ubaldo, an ex-military man who now works at a bank in São Paulo, heads northeast after inheriting land from the biological father he never knew: a famous cangaceiro. When Ubaldo is taken hostage during a bank robbery, he escapes death by offering information for a robbery. He is persuasive and the gang accepts his deal, as long as he can prove that he is telling the truth.
2. A Promise is a Promise

With Jeremías injured, the gang improvises an escape and seeks refuge in a farmer's house. Dinorah fights off one of the bandits after he attacks the farmer's teenage daughter. To save Dinorah's life, Sabiá sends her to help Ubaldo fulfill her promise, after which she can exact her revenge. Ubaldo will have to fight his own sister if he wants to survive.
3. My Name is Ubaldo Vaqueiro

The gang prepares for the next heist. Ubaldo is reunited with a childhood friend, Leinneane, whose husband is running for mayor. Tensions rise between the bandits when a robbery nearly costs them their lives. Ubaldo rebels against the gang's incompetence and wins a fight against Ameaço. If they want to make real money now, they'll have to do it their way: no deaths.
4. The Price of Inheritance

While Ubaldo works to turn the gang into professionals, Dinorah makes an offer of 1 million reais to prevent the bank from auctioning off her properties. They won, but now they need more money and prepare for the next heist. Dilvania welcomes the families who lost their houses at auction to live on their land, creating a commune and inspiring political hatred.
5. Living is Dangerous

After a successful heist, Ubaldo brings his recently recovered father Ernesto from São Paulo to Cratará. Meanwhile, Dinorah plans to take revenge on Mayor Gastão for having raped her when she was a child. Her boyfriend Lino hers helps her attack Gastão, leaving him disfigured. However, fleeing the scene of the crime, Lino is shot.
6. Politics is Everything

Leinneane's husband and his family, political opponents of Gastão, are accused of crimes against him. Worried about his son's dangerous new lifestyle, Ernesto tries to talk him out of it, but when an assassination attempt is made on him and Leinneane, Ubaldo realizes he has to steal whatever it takes for her to defeat the men. 7. My Way

Ubaldo and Dinorah rob only half a bank to support Paulino Leite's campaign. To save his son from a life of crime, Ernesto blows up Ubaldo's warehouses, destroying his weapons in the process. Ubaldo and Leinneane suspect Gastão, and the aspiring first lady uses her own campaign money to finance the robbery that will bring her political victory.
8. Crime Never Pays

Ubaldo's gang is surprised by Ameaço and his followers, leading to a shootout that kills men on both sides. Gastão's fanatics set out to destroy the brotherhood and burned down the building with Ernesto in it. A new and holy Ubaldo rises from the ashes of this tragedy, a full-blooded cancageiro capable of murder.

Ernesto's funeral unites the Vaqueiros in grief and rage. Searching for those responsible for his death, Ubaldo and Dinorah confront the Maleiros, while Zeza tries to prevent further deaths. 2. No One Rules Alone

Ubaldo transforms grief into struggle. To prevent Cratará from being torn apart by politicians and businessmen, Leinneane proposes an agreement on essential public services. 4. We Are the Same

With an astronomical debt, Ubaldo and Dinorah begin planning the biggest heist of all time. Gastão puts his territorial expansion plan into practice, leaving bodies wherever he goes. Victims arrive at the arraial, triggering a conflict between Vaqueiros and Leites. An explosive action by Dinorah puts everything at risk.
5. The Third Blade

Ubaldo is pressured by the new gang to carry out the grand heist, but with Dinorah incapacitated, he refuses and his leadership is threatened. Paulino Leite and Gastão Maleiro find a common desire: to destroy the Vaqueiros. Still, the strength of the matriarchy prevails when Dinorah needs it most.
6. The Greatest Heist of All Time

Ubaldo and Dinorah's gang dominate an entire city in the biggest heist of all time. Ubaldo and Leinneane surrender to love, while Paulino and Gastão unite in hatred. Triumphing in Cratará may be a death sentence.

The Vaqueiros' destiny is sealed in a bloody battle to defend the arraial. An irreparable loss will shake all certainties. Ubaldo, Dinorah, and Dilvânia pay a high price for challenging the structures of injustice. A new era is announced in Cratará.
