Hans Werner Olm
Biography
Hans Werner Olm (born February 1, 1955, in Bochum) is a German cabaret artist, actor, singer, and voice actor. Hans Werner Olm began his career—following an apprenticeship as a confectioner—working as a cabaret artist in clubs across Berlin. In 1976, together with Jürgen von der Lippe, he was a founding member of the comedy and music group *Gebrüder Blattschuss*, which rose to fame with its humorous "silly songs." Subsequently, Olm established himself as a stand-up comedian and television performer, appearing in numerous comedy and entertainment programs as well as feature films, such as *Zwei Nasen tanken Super*. Olm became particularly popular in the early 2000s thanks to his RTL comedy show *OLM!*, in which he portrayed various eccentric fictional characters such as Paul Schrader and Luise Koschinsky. For this program, he received the German Comedy Award in 2004. Later, he continued to feature these characters in the ProSieben show *Olm unterwegs*. Furthermore, he has appeared in numerous television series and entertainment programs, including *Alarm für Cobra 11*, *Familie Heinz Becker*, *RTL Samstag Nacht*, *Genial daneben*, and *Dittsche*. In addition to his work as a comedian, Olm is also active as a singer and voice actor.
